Dear all!
I am just wondering whether anyone has experience with sheet to tiller steering and can pass on some ideas!? I recently bought a Dutch Halcyon 27 and spent 2 weeks or so refitting ... and now O am so much looking forward to go sailing in spring;-)
Any other need to know tipps for a newbie are also greatly appreciated.

Hi Alex, good choice. The Halcyon 27 is a fantastic boat and if you lock the tiller and get the sails balanced right, she will sail a very straight course anyway. I haven't tried sheet to tiller yet on "Idris" for this reason but I think it would work perfectly well.

I use sheet to tiller steering a lot, for your tension I recommend surgical tubeing rather than bungy cord
