Well I bought her and after about a months work I now know the size of the problem. Basically if it does not move sand it down and paint it. if it moves replace it. Genoa roller is a museum piece ! give me another month and it might be a boat again. So Far new cooker, new gas locker which vents overboard rather than the cockpit. All relevant bits new. New Bilge pump and electric one. Blackwater holding tank and loo ordered as well as new sails. Looks like about 300 metres of assorted rope needed, I put all the verdigris encrusted in the washing machine and it came up really clean but also told me the next place for it. Just sorting out the nav aids before rewiring, got my fingers crossed the nmea box works. All bilges painted and a lot of the woodwork varnished. I have made new handrails for the cabin tops, not fitted yet. Most of the leaks fixed. New shoe for the mizzen being made.
So all in all I am pleased with progress and I think she is going to be a lovely boat. Oh, by a freudian slip she has got renamed to Gracious Lady. and she has her old SSR number. I shall keep you posted on progress. Has anyone any suggestions for either cleaning off the gold anodising on the spars and or renovating them. John
